What the Exam Includes -- and What to Expect
The I-693 exam is straightforward when you’re prepared. Here’s what happens at your appointment.

Medical History Review
We review your health history, current medications, and vaccination records. Bring everything you have — even partial records help.

Physical Examination
Dr. Ikyaator performs a complete physical examination covering eyes, ears, nose, throat, heart, lungs, abdomen, skin, lymph nodes, and a mental health assessment.

Required Disease Screening
USCIS requires screening for specific communicable diseases. Blood tests for tuberculosis, syphilis, and gonorrhea are standard. Additional labs may apply based on your age and history.

Vaccination Verification
You must meet USCIS vaccination requirements to complete your application. Required vaccines include MMR, polio, tetanus/diphtheria/pertussis, Hepatitis A and B, varicella, meningococcal, pneumococcal, and seasonal influenza (when applicable). If you’re missing vaccines, we can administer them the same visit.

Completion and Sealed Envelope
Dr. Ikyaator completes and signs Form I-693. You receive it in a sealed envelope, which you submit unopened with your application or bring to your USCIS interview. Do not open the envelope.
Come Prepared. Avoid Extra Visits
Having the right documents at your appointment keeps things moving and reduces the chance of needing a follow-up visit.
