Before Your Visit
Everything you need to know before your USCIS immigration medical exam with Dr. Foye Ikyaator, a designated civil surgeon in Houston Heights. Coming prepared is the single biggest thing you can do to avoid a second visit.
What to bring to your visit
A government-issued photo ID or your passport. We must verify your identity before the exam.
Every vaccination record you have — including records from other countries. Documents in other languages are acceptable, and partial records still help. If you cannot find them, we can run blood tests to check immunity or start a new series in the office.
A list of your current medications, including doses.
Any prior chest X-ray or TB test results, if you have had them.
Your Form I-693, if USCIS has already sent you one. If not, we provide it.
Fees and payment
The immigration medical exam is $300. A $50 deposit is collected when you book online and holds your appointment; the remaining balance is due at your visit. Deposits are non-refundable.
Any vaccines you still need are billed separately at the time of your visit. Call us at (346) 537-5650 if you would like to know what to expect before you come in.
Scheduling and rescheduling
Appointments are booked online and confirmed instantly. If something changes, your appointment may be rescheduled once. Please give us as much notice as you can so we can offer the slot to another applicant.
After your exam
Dr. Ikyaator completes and signs your Form I-693 and gives it to you in a sealed envelope. Submit it to USCIS unopened, or bring it unopened to your interview. Do not open the envelope — a broken seal invalidates the form.
